With rising project costs and tight deadlines, the need for streamlined processes has never been greater. Yet, many contractors still rely on outdated methods that lead to wasted resources and delays.

Fortunately, there’s a game-changing solution entering the Australian market — field service software designed specifically to optimize work orders and inventory for caulking contractors. Facing High Costs and Limited Options among Australian Providers

Xtreme Caulking has been serving a range of clients, including industrial, commercial, and small businesses since 2011. The company has worked on major projects such as Frankston and Reservoir train stations, Melbourne Airport, and Nissan headquarters. The team consists of 18 professionals working on various projects across the city. Each caulker specializes in different areas and locations, having their own set of tools and materials which they receive from one main company warehouse.

Initially, collecting data on completed jobs and used materials was challenging without Orderry. The team performed their tasks, but data was neither sent nor entered properly. Growing operations and taking on bigger projects necessitated effectively tracking caulkers’ daily activities and optimizing resources.

We used to manage the data almost manually. We used Google Forms, downloaded the data to Excel sheets, and then made some changes to organize it. We didn't know what the guys were doing during the day, or what they were using to develop the job. But everything changed for us with Orderry.

For nearly a year, Xtreme Caulking struggled to find a field service app that would meet their comprehensive needs — they required a solution that integrated inventory, employee management, and work orders on one platform.

Due to high costs and lack of integration in available options, the team couldn’t choose a specific app for managing their work on the Australian market. After extensive research of apps available in their region, they expanded their search abroad and found Orderry.

Most apps in Australia are expensive and do not offer the complete integration we need. Orderry stands out because it combines inventory, scheduling, work orders, and client management on one platform.

Single App for Work Orders and Inventory Control

Xtreme Caulking finds great value in using Orderry’s field service management software, which allows easy assignment of work orders, tracking of employee activities, and managing data more effectively than their previous method of using Google Forms and Excel sheets. This transition has significantly improved the workflow and information management at the company.

I recommend Orderry to businesses in the building industry because it allows management of both inventory and work orders in a single app, which is rare.

Mr. Hincapie’s favorite feature is the work order system. He can now easily assign caulkers to specific jobs and track their daily activities. Once employees receive a work order and complete the job, they input the materials and comments and update the work order's status.

Another important function, particularly for the managers, is the visibility of work orders with specific statuses. Employees cannot view certain work orders after changing these statuses. This ensures that data management is restricted and only accessible to the managers after the caulkers input the information.

Streamlined Processes Help Caulking Projects Flow Seamlessly

Before implementing Orderry, Xtreme Caulking lacked insight into the tools being used for caulking jobs. When managing multiple large projects, each team member collects materials from the warehouse and charges clients based on the specifics of a particular job. The feature of assigning different warehouses to each worker is particularly beneficial for the team of 18 caulkers, as each worker can manage their own specific mobile warehouse.

Each caulker can manage their own inventory, as items can be assigned to work orders or transferred to other employees. This feature has significantly enhanced our business management processes.
